Okay, here's 22 seconds of my life standing where you aren't supposed to stand underneath a giant ferris wheel. I can't decide whether I like the picture or not, but it was fun to take.

@Billthoo Thanks, Bill. Much appreciated.

I'm finding it looks okay on my phone and tablet... but Mastodon, per usual, does such a terrible job displaying photos in a browser on my PC. That's the reason I've been questioning this one.

@BobHorowitz oh, I see. I’ve not used mastodon on a big screen at all.

@Billthoo It's bad news. Mastodon does a terrible job properly sizing photos.

I don't know how hard it is to expand and shrink photos and still make them look good... But I know it can be done. Take something like Adobe Photoshop. It does a terrific job zooming in and zooming out of photos, making them look good as it resizes them. And it's not just the Photoshop. Most websites do a really good job resizing images for any resolution.

Anyway, I avoid looking at browser Mastodon on a big screen. It makes me wince.
