After several months observation, I am fairly sure mastodon.social is preventing any @FediTips posts from appearing in their trending posts section.

This wouldn't be so bad, but so many new people (most new people?) sign up via mastodon.social and they're exactly the kind of people I'm trying to help with the guides and tips and support. It can be quite hard to reach new people and trends on mastodon.social could be crucial.

If there's anyone from the mastodon.social admin team reading this, any chance you could let my FediTips posts trend there?

(My other accounts seem to trend fine there.)

p.s. As to why they might be preventing my FediTips posts trending, I'm guessing it's because I've been (politely) critical of mastodon.social being promoted at the expense of all other instances on the official Mastodon apps.
