I pulled this for $6.50USD at a local thrift shop today. Looks like a compute module from some kind of display signage. It implements the “open pluggable specification”. It still has the SSD in it, so I’m interested to see what’s on it and see if I can get it fired up.

looks like I can get an OPS docking card or a power adapter shipped from China. Should I...? 🤔
I have no idea if this computer was pulled because it was upgraded or because it stopped working, and I have no way to power it up (short of soldering stuff directly to the underside of the board)

It has 2 removable 4GB sticks of Kingston RAM, and the SSD is 256GB. Even if the computer isn’t useful, it’s nice to salvage spare parts.

My cousin put in an order for a bunch of other stuff and threw in a power adapter, so looks like I'm moving forward with this little project 🎉
