Hardware nerds, here's an odd one. I have a little Lenovo Chromebook which is a tablet with keyboard case. Today, the keyboard started going completely wild. Every time I touched it, it would type loads of key combinations, like it was possessed. Device working fine as a tablet. Assumed the keyboard connection was b0rked. But no. It's only happening if the tablet is plugged into USB charging.

I'm in a hotel so don't have different cables and chargers to try, I will once I get home. Weird though!

@rachelandrew just a thought - you don't have a security key plugged into it (like a yubikey) - sometimes just brushing those can cause similar keyboard nonsense.

@alpower I do but I always do, and this is only happening when charging. I could try without it though.

@rachelandrew super weird! either way, something like this was my fix from what I recall. I had to install a manager app that let me disable the thing that triggered the codes https://support.yubico.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013714379-Accidentally-Triggering-OTP-Codes-with-Your-Nano-YubiKey
