Here's my first week on #Pixelfed takeaway: I love seeing people as they are over there: The queer folks, the enthusiasts, the various types a human body can exist in on this planet and the interesting ways people like to dress themselves, the absence of an aesthetic uniform and adverts. I enjoy the slowness and soft flow of connection over there, too. What about you?

@verocomics I totally agree. I love seeing all the little shapshots of people’s lives. The moments with people they care about, the places that hold a secret memory just for them, the days they felt proud or happy or sad.

It feels like a big, living catalogue of human experience, in a way I haven’t encountered in a very long time.

@chriswood yes, that's a lovely analogy. In times like these it feels quite pure over there.

@verocomics I can't say for Pixelfed, but I have the same feeling with Twitter vs. Mastodon so I get what you mean.

@KekunPlazas yes, for me, that applies to Mastodon, too.
