I just picked up the 4th book in the Wayfarer series by Becky Chambers, and I can't tell if I need to read the first 3 in order...it looks like maybe not? I know a lot of you out there have read them, thoughts?

@westerling Nope, each of the four is more-or-less standalone, though the first gives you the best introduction to that universe, I think.

@westerling Well, book 2 follows directly after book 1, but the story is only somewhat dependent on knowledge from the first book.

Thanks. It was on sale at libro.fm today and I got it for my mom, and I have bk 1 in paperback so I'll figure it out and tell her whether she can just go ahead and try it. ;)
