Somebody listed a free Brother laser printer on NextDoor and nobody has snapped it up yet. Clearly my neighbors actually have lives and don't spend all their time staring at printer reviews.
So I'm getting it for my Mom, since I already have one, and her inkjet, which is better than most inkjets, is still a fortune in ink because she only uses it once a week at most.

I just picked up the 4th book in the Wayfarer series by Becky Chambers, and I can't tell if I need to read the first 3 in order...it looks like maybe not? I know a lot of you out there have read them, thoughts?

Just finished The City in Glass by Nghi Vo. I haven't read a book by Nghi Vo that I haven't loved and this is no exception. This one reminds me a bit of some of the best parts of Tanith Lee, particularly in the MC's perspective of being an immortal living among mortals. While the Singing Hills books are traveler's tales, City of Glass is rooted to one location.

Letting my ADHD run amok, actually getting things done, it's wild. I should do this more often.

This longest night
your candles light
keep watch over all the earth
welcome hope and cheer
as dawn draws near
and rejoice, rejoice
in the sun's rebirth
(A song for the solstice, I don't know who to credit it to, but it's a beautiful round that my friends and I like to sing)
