Got an email from Duolingo this morning that reminded me I hadn't deleted my account yet. Figured out how to do it and in seven days the deletion process will begin. Goodbye, green owl. I have no need for an app that "teaches" language without meaningful input from humans. You will not be missed ✌️

@mollymay5000 I deleted it last year, but came back a few months later because I haven't found anything similar that teaches Greek. Thankfully the Greek course still has the original volunteer-built content and no AI junk (although there are no grammar explanations to be seen). Once that's done, I'll be out. Possibly earlier, if I can get some other processes working 🤞

@carbsrule_en I recognize that there is definitely a problem of accessibility that Duolingo was doing a good job with for sure. Hopefully more alternatives become available soon 🫠
