More in sadness than in anger, I'm in the process of slowly exporting my emails from Proton and importing them into Fastmail.

Which does seem to be very good, and has the small bonus of also being slightly cheaper.

Yep, I’m doing that this weekend. It’s a shame, I really like a lot of what they do at Proton, but there are enough email providers out there that I don’t have to stay with one I don’t 100% support.

@rk Yeah. It's just a shame. Their service is good (despite the occasional inanity like the crypto wallet). But I'm exercising my right as a consumer to decide not to give money to people who hold the kinds of views their senior management clearly holds.
