people really close to me, a sibling, a kid, change their stories as time goes by and I can either make it personal or I can globalize, and you think about the Stanford Prison experiment and all the science they simply fake to fit what is already in their brains but not in the world, how do I avoid thinking that normal people simply lie, all the time?

I don't see it as lying per se, as more of a lack of intellectual integrity, which itself I see as a skill, not an inherent quality, that NTs are simply not born with and have to learn. Actually I believe that NDs aren't exactly born with it either, but instead with a kind of attraction to it (and critical thinking in general), so if we do run into it, or manage to figure it out for ourselves, we are more likely to latch onto it.

So it's a skill that has to be taught, and that is why we need to emphasize critical thinking in education. Again, not a bible person but one of the bits I do like is "forgive them, for they know not what they do."

yes, fair enough, I mean, not that forgiveness is the point (or punishment), but that's a fair term. Intellectual integrity isn't the priority for them, better to get along/do as you're told. Something about group . . . maybe not integrity, but something. 😇

No, it's not a priority for them, in itself. But they do have other priorities that critical thinking can help them with. So framed that way, they will want to learn. And since they learn top-down, we can teach them. This I think is the path to fixing many things.
