okay I deleted the post. much love but I don't enjoy people who do not follow me/i don't follow snarkily telling me how to browse tags. I forget that asking for suggestions on masto is miserable if you don't restrict your post beforehand

there's a very strong presence on federated social media of tech people who might not consider themselves Tech Bros but who are far too comfortable being sarcastic, snarky, demeaning, or even just very mildly brusque to people on the internet that they don't know and who did not solicit their attention in particular. the culture sometimes sucks here, and while i like m.art it makes it so so hard to Love being here.

I mentioned followfriday in my original post. clearly I am Aware of tags, and somewhat aware of the culture here. I have been on m.art for almost seven years. I guess I should default all my posts to being followers-only or suffer the wrath of random people in my mentions being weird. well anyways I guess I'll be taking a brief break from m.art and I will return in a few days when I've drawn something so that I am also not only making miscellaneous text posts.
