Hey, #Portland folks, the Belmont Goats are looking for a new home! Sharing their ask:

The goats are looking for a new space as of this spring! Fear not - We've been expecting this, and agreed to it with the Portland Housing Bureau when we came to North Portland. Our stay in this spot has come to its natural, intended end, and we're looking for the next space we'll stay until further notice. (1/4)

Our lease is up in March, and the land we're on changes hands June 1st, so we have a hard deadline of when we need to be out. We're looking for spaces that are:

• At least 1/2 an acre (minimum needed to house the goats and their shelters)

• In the Portland Metro Area

• Grassy, living land with trees and shade (No parking lots)

• Access to water or the ability to install it

• Can host us for at least 5 years (Senior goats need a stable space)

• Accessible by public transit to help people get here. (and the ability to maintain our regular gate hours).

Please reach out if you have any leads - If you do reach out, please include any contact information for relevant owners or property managers. We've spent a lot of time looking at open spaces but without contact information, we're at a loss.

We would love to continue to be part of the Portland community for as long as possible - If we can find a stable place to partner with, we may consider continuing this project past the current herd we have. If not, The Belmont Goats will end with this last space.
