@jadedtwin I don't think I ever heard Doritos called either by actual people irl. Afaik they're "Doritos" (specific, magical thing made of what, we don't care) or "crisps" (generic, made of what, we also don't care). I'm guessing the assumption is that most "crisps" have some basis in "food" but are basically flavourings, fat, ash and microplastics, but goddamn they still taste good.
