The water's a little murky from gunk being stirred up as I propagated and replanted some of the stem plants and cleaned out the sponge filters (probably means I gotta do a water change tomorrow, but I'm hoping it'll clear up. Shrimp don't like water conditions to fluctuate too much). The fish seem to like the new hiding spots tho

Spent yesterday reorganizing all the power cables in my office so I can add a switch so I can bring ethernet in here (you don't wanna know how messy and inefficient it was before...nor how close I was to just start daisy-chaining out of laziness...luckily the IT Admin in me took over)

Somehow, the cord for my laptop's power supply got jostled ever so slightly loose enough to disconnect it from the mains. I came to my office to find it off with a drained battery. For a brief moment I thought I had tripped a breaker after the Great Rearranging™️. Plug is "repaired" and the fun part of piping ethernet from the router to my office switch begins.

A local weed dispensary sent me an email with a subject line that said "LA may be on fire, but [weed company name] is gonna be Lit!"

I already didn't like that place (they hire the most misogynistic asshats), but that's a new low. I should've blocked their emails ages ago, but I did now. People are losing their homes and lives and some corpo idiot stoner thought it'd be a good time for some word play. Blegh....

Step 1: uninstall adobe products from your machine

Step 2: travel back to 2002 and use MSPaint like the rest of us have been for the last 25 years (then upgrade to Aseprite because it's super good)

Step 3: practice with graph paper (seriously, do it. I guarantee you'll get better)

I've been always on the cusp of ditching corpo OS's in the past (all my non-daily machines run Linux), but this got me fired up. It's gonna take me a bit to retool all my workflows and back up important data while I make the switch, but bye bye Microsoft. Bye bye Adobe. I won't miss you.

Watched two Dwight Schultz episodes from Voyager and Babylon 5 with the hubby today.

Episode 1: Lt. Broccoli 🥦 tries to send a message to the Voyager :stvoy: aka how come the federation -still- doesn't understand autism after 500 years?

Episode 2: "Howlin Mad" Murdock goes a bit nutty after a ship with a couple cyro-pods that definitely doesn't have Khan on board docks at the Babylon 5.

His acting range is the stuff of legends

Anyone got good suggestions for ergonomic mice? Preferably vertical, but if I have to I'll learn how to use trackball too :boost_ok:

I don't trust the suggestions by Buckaroo-Bezos and the Alphabet AI Search Box

Edit: preferably with a wire. I hate unnecessary batteries and this mouse won't move beyond a 1-foot radius of my desk
