1. Day 1 of visit from dad did not go as planned - but it was still our first good day together in… decades.

2. Surgeon made a good case for why my repair is almost certainly intact. He’ll send me for imaging but doubts there is anything to see. I have never been so happy to be thought a fool.

3. Spouse and kiddo are sick - but that let me hang out with dad with fewer distractions. I think he does better in that situation. (Hope everyone feels better tomorrow!)

some people really are better one on one. it is not about who else is there, it is about how many. I am that way. I bet your dad is, and it is cool of you to observe it.
