I'm thinking about posting more on pixelfed again, but judging from everyone else's pictures I'm not on that level - which is part of why I never joined Instagram in the first place

so really I mean that I'm going to follow more on pixelfed, and provide the occasional cat picture to justify my presence

@PetraOleum haha yeah don't worry about photography skills, it's fine to just post whatever you want imo

@fragileswift13 really I'm mostly bothered by how much better I can do with a proper camera vs how much work it is to set it up - I need to find a second hand point-and-shoot

@PetraOleum why what phone do you have?

@fragileswift13 Samsung A52 I think? It was new in 2021 and has like, four cameras on the back so you'd think it could compete with my 2004 entry-level DSLR but not in my hands

@PetraOleum oh fair enough lol i think phone cameras generally aren't made with even semi-pro photographers in mind. they're made for dummies who just want a picture but don't care what it looks like. i'm sure the google play store is the same, like on the iPhone app store there are a bunch of apps you can find (usually have to pay for them tho) that will give you all the settings you're used to in a DSLR
