🚨 🚨 🚨 New paper announcement 🚨 🚨 🚨

The public policy world is increasingly calling for transparency in energy & emissions for AI models. That's not as simple as pulling a tool off of the shelf, or using a standard.

Getting to transparency means getting better at measurement methods. Since no one should have to learn methods the hard way, we teamed up with NREL to write an introductory guide to help others in the same boat.

I'm also taking it as a personal win that as an anthropologist I was able to shape and co-author a deeply technical report launched by the National Renewable Energy Lab.

Anyone who says you only need #STEM to do technical work can go kick rocks.
