The public policy world is increasingly calling for transparency in energy & emissions for AI models. That's not as simple as pulling a tool off of the shelf, or using a standard.

Getting to transparency means getting better at measurement methods. Since no one should have to learn methods the hard way, we teamed up with NREL to write an introductory guide to help others in the same boat.

Hive mind, I'm looking for examples where hierarchical organizations became meaningfully less hierarchical. Not in the sense of fewer management layers, but in the sense that people stopped looking to the higher ups to issue permission slips and blessings for every damn thing.
