I really should know better than to try to take pics of the moon with my phone (especially when the dog is yanking me around because everything smells great) but I like the branches so much that I think it works anyway...?

Next time, if you want to experiment, put your phone in HDR mode and touch the moon before taking the image (so the camera knows what you want to prioritize in the exposure).

@CStamp thanks. I did try tapping the moon but I think my dog was pulling me around a bit much for it to be a stable image. What a rubbish photographic assistant she is!
