@arosien The cross-backend-ness of solutions to the expression problem is the real win IMO. E.g. Doodle can support backend specific features instead of implementing lowest common denominator or random-crashes-at-runtime bullshit.

@arosien it's less stupid when you think about it in terms of separate compilations. What if you depend on a library maintained and published by somebody else, who just cannot be bothered to recompile and republish whenever you need to add a behaviour? What if instead they just didn't need to?
