Study of 257 young children finds when they were shown pictures of adults and asked who knows more about science & from whom they would want to learn, they overwhelmingly chose the adult who had their same gender.

@amydiehl Gender bias starts young. However, this does show why we need to encourage male teachers (and pay ALL teachers a fair and living wage) in the lower grade classrooms. Male teachers can be enormously valuable in reaching children to provide positive models for teaching and learning.
