This seems sensible. BMI is a useful measure, but it's very far from perfect. If a new definition of obesity can improve on it, then that would be welcome.

I just hope someone is monitoring whether the new measure actually does improve on BMI. Would be a shame to introduce a more complex measure if it doesn't actually do what it's supposed to.
