Dear browsers, just let me right click on an inline SVG and “Save as Image”.
And while you are there, save novelty formats to their counterparts that other apps actually understand. Webp? More like WebTF!

@Kilian Today I learned! Also, you should be in charge of browsers. 😂

@Kilian @yatil The "open current tab in Polypane" browser extension is soo handy in these cases (and others, of course)

@marcus @Kilian I use Velja by @sindresorhus for my one/two click browser change needs. And it also opens Google Meets in Edge and such. It’s the Polypane extension on steroids: https://sindresorhus.com/velja

@yatil ...I want that... Looks like you'd start poking around here for Firefox to implement it: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/source/browser/actors/ContextMenuChild.sys.mjs#927-929

@gregtatum I’m not using Firefox and I’m not a programmer. But thanks for your heads up.

@yatil Somehow I can perfectly understand why this isn't implemented.

@yatil Pre-Chromium MS Edge had these features & it was excellent! Sometimes you'd lose a bit of info in the SVG, like if there were styles set in CSS elsewhere in the document, but it was pretty easy to figure out if you understood the code. And if you saved the SVG as a PNG, it had the correct transparency, unlike a screenshot.
Still waiting for someone to introduce this in Chromium.
