I don't usually do polls, but this seems like a good one.

My initial plan was to go through Blighttown the hard way. However, after I slept on it, I remembered how much I HATE Blighttown.

I'll still beat up Capra and the Gaping Dragon, but I'd rather take the shortcut to the poison swamp, rather than going down the hard way.

But...I'll let you decide. What do you think?

@mforester I think it's on a platform you need to jump to right at the start of Blighttown, yeah

the Shadow (Ninja) armor is somewhere around there, too, iirc

@COMPU73E thanks for pointing that out. I guess I'll take the long way down then.

I don't actually think that upper Blighttown is too hard, I just don't find it very fun to play. But I can't skip these items. 😩

@mforester it turns out it's the Iaito that's on the platform in Blighttown, not the Uchi. I misremembered!

"Dropped by the Undead Merchant in Undead Burg". 🤔 😅

I don't usually take out NPCs, but this sounds tempting.

@mforester I don't actually want to see you suffer, just to give Blighttown a chance. Its quite oppressive but I still think it's a good level. And if not, well, you don't even need the master key, you can enter the Valley of Drakes from Darkroot Basin

@avak5 I have actually never thought of that. I always thought you needed the master key, but you're right.

It's been a while since I traversed Blighttown. Other people have already pointed out that there might be some worthwhile equipment down there, especially for a Dex character.

I'm going. Maybe it's really not as bad as I remember. 🙂
