ESA‘s Gaia mission is not the most splashy space mission, but it was exceptionally successful. Now it is running out of fuel and need to stop, but congrats to all who made it such a big success ! It is totally not my science, but I am absolutely impressed.

@hfalcke Fully agree. Gaia is a wonderfully successful mission and one that exemplifies the best of European Astronomy and ESA. Its legacy will outlast many of those more splashy missions.
