apologised to my partner as well because they started cramping today too despite having their periods suppressed. It's wild that my hormones triggers theirs - bodies are strange. I wonder what the mechanism is...

@shockwaver@corteximplant.com !!!! i also get cramps with terra’s period! my hypothesis is it’s similar to how women’s cycles will sync if they live/exist in close quarters with one another; further i’d guess there’s more impact on t-based system hormones from e-based folks than is widely understood/acknowledged… so weird to have that happening!!

I think you are probably right - I read a few research papers about that, studies seemed inconclusive but it seems pretty widespread. I wonder how that information is passed from body to body... Scent? Physical contact??
I'd be really curious if there was an impact in the other direction in people of close contact who aren't taking external hormones - especially for natal t-based bodies that might have hormone levels on the low end for "cis"
...which is a long way of saying maybe there was something to the "sympathy cramps" I'd sometimes get long before HRT when my partner would get their periods...? Bodies are WEIRD
