@512pixels silly question: what did you use to make the diagram?

@512pixels I took the exact same route when I installed UniFi early last year. Wanted the U7 Pro to work so bad but the Mesh is cute and little and powerful and a great hand warmer.
Ps: I love the cameras and UNVR. I went woo G4 Instant just to avoid running wires everywhere. I created a IOT 2.4GHz network and added those to it. Rock solid and plenty of coverage.
Can’t wait to watch you add to your setup @ismh86

@512pixels Super helpful! One question - if everything is wired, why u6 Mesh instead of u6 Pro?

@fullerc Worked better where I needed them.

@512pixels Lovely. I have the normal “UFO” APs and they have been fantastic. I manage them from an intel MBP. I just have old dumb switches to feed them, what benefit did you find in having the smart router and switches? They are fairly cheap so I’m tempted!

@grievousangel I got tired of cheap Best Buy gigabit switches dying every 3 years
