Twelve years ago today. I loved Glassboard and still wish we had something like it.

Also, I hate seeing screenshots in my Photos library so I usually delete them. But I love seeing old screenshots. So, I just made a shortcut that runs every night and takes any new screenshots from my Photos and puts them into a folder in Files. That way I can still keep Photos clean. We'll see how that goes.

It’s always fun to see the passport recaps from @Flighty. I’m not sure I’ll ever top this 2024 one.

The latest NetNewsWire beta added the dark icon so that’s all of them for me. Now I have to be selective which apps I add in the future. https://mastodon.social/@stucki/113583658390084454

Six months later and there is only one app on my homepage that doesn’t have a dark icon. (NetNewsWire) My thanks to all the developers for the constant care of their apps.

If you've long ago left Twitter but don't want your tweets used to train AI there, then this is a very useful script. It's free, easy, and took about 20 minutes to delete my 15k tweets. https://github.com/lucahammer/tweetXer

Image Playground is kind of silly, but when you pull names from your photo library it can become incredibly nostalgic. It really gets fun.

Idea: when you start an “Outdoor Run” workout and it’s before sunrise, the Apple Watch should glow bright red with white text during the whole run.

Another software update: Wipr 2 is available for preorder at just $5. I've been using this very simple ad-blocker for years and it's been so reliable. Version 2 looks even better. Thanks @kaylee https://kaylees.site/wipr2.html

Very happy to see that Copilot budgeting software is now on the iPad too. It has completed the Apple device trifecta.

Here is my review from a couple years ago. Still a happy user. https://brianstucki.com/a-copilot-for-your-budget/

I'm going to upgrade to an M4 mini which is not too bad.

But also the old mini is the last Mac with USB-A in my house so it's time to upgrade all my external drives too.

Things are adding up.
