that was stuck in postal limbo for a month but it finally arrived. It’s complete and cost me 25€, honestly I’m super happy.

The save file on it is a treasure too, started on 24th December of 2016, boxed full of mons, lots of hacked ones, but also legit japanese events from the time, and a few legit shinies too. Really happy with this score

@derFisch Thanks, I just identified the word "poop" as it triggers the invalid nickname check from PKHeX (same that is done in gens 5 and up) but idk how actually offensive the name is lol

@Siphonay huh! usually swears in japanese aren't all that offensive, mainly just impolite. maybe a name like that could be interpreted as an insult aimed at the other player though? idk

@Siphonay People complained that the remake of Diamond and Pearl was buggy as hell, but they forgot that the original game was also buggy as hell (especially the japanese release).

@Feufochmar this surf glitch you really have to know to pull off. A more annoying one was leaving the trade center of the league trapping you out of bounds (and even then if you didn’t save you could just restart your game)

BDSP has a lot more of a janky feel to it in general IMO. A lot of it is due to your character not being confined to a map grid and how that allows for fairly easy clipping out of bounds. It also makes it extremely easy to cheese the Snowpoint gym puzzle, I did it by accident myself
