I love how storebought green onion cuttings sprout roots in water. I just planted some. They seem remarkably hearty, and probably the only thing that'll grow in #shedstudio

I live in a winter hellscape, and the shed is only heated on afternoons I work. Otherwise it stays just above freezing.

Until spring comes, this is about the only greenery I get outside of #bloomscrolling. Hopefully it helps me through winter.

@frigginglorious if you like them and are into it, sprouts/micro greens would do really well in that environment! Especially if you soak the seeds overnight first, but I don't think that's necessary for germination if it's mostly above freezing.

@frigginglorious Have a look at 'lambs lettuce' and round-leaf lettuce. Both will grow even in occasional hard freezes
