Way back, i thought about joining Instagram but then it seemed to take a turn to the snobby side and then it was bought by the devil.

15 years later, I'm thinking about #pixelfed. What's a good server to join? My shots would be mostly nature saving the shit posts for Mastodon.

I just went with the major one. If a local or Canadian ones starts up I might switch to that. I'm trying to get my spouse and her textile-making friends to join. I'm half tempted to start up a textiles-focused site for her, but it's in PHP (ugh!!) and I honestly have no experience with the backend stuff. I can read documentation, though. There's a danger that this might be just a new ADHD obsession.

@dan613 @casseagull @Auxonic @dan613@pixelfed.social It would be great if there was a Canadian one or even an Ottawa one even though the Ottawa one would just be sunsets.

My thinking is that I'd like the local feed to be relevant.
