Aside from everything else that’s completely backwards and wrong about this moron’s attitude there’s never been an easier time to learn music: vast educational resources online that dwarf what we had in the 80/90’s, cheap but high-quality instruments that you can shop for from your couch, computer studio gear and software that would've cost millions in the 90s now for $100s. It’s marketing and reaching an audience that sucks and that’s partly because of these same people!

@stoneymonster At least the article gets it right though and calls him out on the BS he's – most likely profitably – spouting.

Music is an art and is as such a uniquely human endeavor. Acting as if it can be effortlessly created like YouTube "creators" produce endless throw-away content more than misses the point. It's going to produce slop, not art.
