I know #devs like to talk about feeling good when they delete code, but really, it's nowhere near as nice as a #sysadmin feels when he permanently shuts down a 12 year old server.

@furicle at my last job I had the pleasure of shutting down a 300+ server cluster we decommissioned. It was nice. Then I posted this in our slack channel:
