People in California are losing everything and half the left is posting about Gaza being the reason California is on fire and lying about Karen Bass and half the right is posting about DEI firewomen and racist bullshit and also lying about Karen Bass. You all know you both look like fucking assholes, right?

Also, there’s no water department prepared for the whole area burning at one time.

I don't think Gaza is the reason California is burning. I think it's probably because millions of idiots built houses where there is no water and wild fires are common.

I do think the USA could afford to take better care of its natural disasters and build better infrastructure if they weren't funding a genocide with billions of dollars of their tax payers' money.

I never mentioned god. If you drive fast on icy roads you have a good chance of being in a wreck. if you build your house someplace with no water and frequent forest fires, there is a good chance your house burns. No god, no karma, just common sense.

@The_Caretaker @Sable_Shade I’m telling you what’s being said in regard to a Gaza connection in some places.

Climate change does have a lot to do with this, but where people live isn’t at fault. And you definitely don’t know anything about water management.

I know Southern California gets shit for yearly rainfall and it pipes most of its water in from Northern California. I also know that trees in a place with a lot of rain don't burn as fast or as hot as dry trees. It isn't rocket surgery.

Anyway, there’s no water management available that will combat an entire city on fire. As far as the rest, two very wet winters led to lots of vegetation growth followed by a warm summer. Very little rain in January created lots of fuel plus the incredibly strong Santa Ana winds are the main reasons for these fires being able to grow so quickly and hot. Blame climate change but nobody is immune from that. A wet area has its own issues.
