Gonna launch the FFXIV patch servers into the fucking sun when this is all done.

Took 3 hours to patch on MacOS, and I have to reinstall on my Windows VM because it won’t read the MacOS install…

@miri last resort: what power mode are you running while on battery? I know that my computer is set to balanced mode up to 20% and then battery saver after. There's a noticeable difference in computer performance for me when the AC adapter gets disconnected. Dunno if that'll help with your download though.

@screaminggoat I have both the Windows VM and the Mac settings to not make any power changes. That said, all of the display changes I had on the system didn’t seem to be applied.

I was having the same throttling issues when I was connected to power. I took the laptop downstairs with me so I could make sure it didn’t fall asleep (which it wasn’t supposed to do but was still doing it…).

The download finally finished. About 3 hours later… for 107gigs.
