What's a good USB-C to 3.5mm adapter? There are thousands out there, but I want one with good audio quality, good build quality, and no concerns about it randomly failing after a few months. It will not travel, though if the price is good, I may grab one or two more to keep in my travel bag just so I have them.

@alexhall Wish I knew. I keep buying the $9 Apple-branded ones. And they die after a while. I use them daily, and I think the longest one has ever lasted is 9 months.

@ricky_enger @alexhall I’m always breaking stuff, yet somehow, I have managed to never break one of those little apple dongles. My original lightning adapters I bought in 2016 still work. Not discounting anything, because it wouldn’t take much, but somehow, I have never managed to make this happen in my life. That being said, I have never bothered looking for anything better, because mine haven’t died yet.

@BorrisInABox @ricky_enger @alexhall Never broke mine either, but the USB C version does seem more flimsy than their Lightning variant. As far as adapter comparisons go, I wonder if anyone did a comparison beyond the top three, for example as seen in this Julian Krause video:

@twynn @BorrisInABox @ricky_enger @alexhall Mine never broke either But I also have a one supplied by Google with one of their Pixel devices and it's worked remarkablly well. You might try that one if Google sells it as an accessory.
