Such a great location to catch a January sunrise on Sunderland's coastline in North East England.

The southern end of Hendon's promenade/seawall, looking towards the promontory known as Salterfen Rocks.

The New Year may have started off on a very chilly note, but we have certainly been treated to some spectacular sunrises.
