Amen to that.

I've recently build a new system (I replace my main pc every 6 - 8 years) and it is fast... really fast.

But in the end: I could also do almost everything I want on a mini PC or a laptop - except gaming (But my life does not depend on that)

In the early days hardware became obsolete so quickly.... great example: SATA HDD against SSD, Single core against multi core etc.

One can have great milage with about any pc currently!

i7 14700

64GB RAM

1TB NVMe

6600XT graphics card

way overkill for what I do tbh.

It's a nice rig though, and that will last you a while!

With my upgrade philosophy I will arrive at a system with these kind of specs in around 2032 or so 😄

Getting milage out of a system is important 😉

Besides, I do not need that overkill system at all.... I just wanted it tbh.

Given how quick everything moves you'll have something even better than this at 2032 😂
