Went to Facebook to post my final announcement of impending deletion of my account, and have seen a few friends/contacts posting their Bluesky handles. (Look, it's not great but it's not Facebook, let's celebrate the small wins and keep working on making the fediverse more welcoming.)
What does shock me is that even in January 2025 there are still members of my diverse leftist communities who need their friends to explain to them why everyone else is leaving Facebook. If they don't know by now, I don't know what else we can do.
