@relistan Oh, you're right, that's very similar. That certainly puts something like Jordan in the running. Any clue in other family names that come up frequently in the parish, other Jordans, Fordes, etc.

@O_DarcyW this record is from 1814. I had the same idea and a couple of hours ago I looked in Griffith’s survey and there is no Forde, but there is a Jordan in this townland in County Down in the 1840s. Guessing that’s right… but hard to know. Hoping to find some other records if I’m very lucky
