In light of the awful fires and air quality in Los Angeles, I've made Breathable free and app will remain free permanently. I charged for the app prior only so I could donate the proceeds to climate change charities, but paying Apple 15% for that privilege is silly. https://breathable.app

@garrettmurray I live in a country where Apple does not have any AQI data in the weather app- is this because it’s not something I need to worry about here (I presume so as I’ve never struggled to breathe outside), or a lack of data?

@SimonCHulse Certainly a lack of data from their provider. You’d be surprised (sadly) at how air quality can be poorer than you’d imagine even when you don’t struggle to breathe. IQAir has data for NZ, so feel free to give Breathable a try if you want a simple widget to check AQI. But also, you all do have amazing air quality most of the time, which is awesome!

@garrettmurray yeah, it is a blessing, and not one I take for granted!
There was a minor bushfire right by my house in late 2021 so I imagine it wasn’t that good that day.
