Lot going on in this 1940's/1950's pic.
The J.M has been dropped and the possessive S' has been added (a typo???), along with a drop shadow around the lettering.
There's a Shell windsock on the roof and signs around door are still advertising food, but now they're Spanish Beans for 20 cents (did the price go up or is this a different dish than before?)

And neon enters in the 1940's/1950's...
There's an Open sign with a neon martini glass perpendicular to the building, Most importantly, the Jack London Rendezvous neon makes an appearance, which according to the National Parks Service, was added in 1952 but which I have questions about.
The signs around the door are still advertising food but now it's HOT lunch and they're also selling tobacco.
The Shell windsock is gone.

Another 1950's pic. The Sea Food Cocktails sign to the right of the door has been replaced with one saying Established 1883.
