@DawnLandes@threads.net does something remarkable in The Liberated Woman’s Songbook. Landes and her band take the laments of the 1800s to the anthems of the ’70s and make them of a piece. Especially in light of the repeal of Roe v. Wade, the march for personhood depicted in these songs feel especially poignant. This isn’t an account of frustrated dreams, though: rather it is one of unflagging faith.
