No. In the world of one of my series, the human race went through a massive bottleneck (yes, nuke/bio/chem warfare wiped out human life on earth). The only survivors lived in orbital and other off-planet stations. Sex is free, reproduction strongly encouraged, pregnancy not required. Population is almost entirely mixed-gender, mixed-age polycules operating stations/spacecraft throughout the solar system.
