@inkscape Well, I've consulted your forums and searched the web, and found no solution. I have an SVG created in Inkscape 1.2 on Debian Bookworm: One white box. Some photos. One line of text (filled with black). Alpha is set to 100 for each of these objects.
Yet when I export it all as a PNG, it comes out transparent. I don't want it to be transparent. Can't find anyway to change that. Ideas?

@inkscape Trying again today. When I export it as a TIFF, the image comes out pink.
I sure wish Inkscape's export behavior was consistent and predictable.

@dancingtreefrog Heh, yes, that does sound wrong.
Note that the opacity indicator often lies (the one in the bottom left corner), you can try to change opacity to < 100, and then up again.

@inkscape
Thanks. Moving the selector down, then back up fixed it.

@dancingtreefrog Btw. if you're using the most up-to-date version of Inkscape - could you check whether there is a current bug report? This problem was supposed to be fixed, but I (Moini here) have a feeling that it sneaked back in...

@inkscape Hi, Moini! Sorry, I'm using the version that Debian Bookworm offers, 1.2.2.
I tried an AppImage of v1.4 from inkscape.org, just to see if a different issue I was having had been fixed in the newer version. It hadn't.
I just went to check issues on Gitlab and the search function doesn't seem to be working?

@dancingtreefrog Unfortunately, that only works when logged in. Apparently that is a measure to reduce load? Not sure... we talked to them about it, but I think it went nowhere. It is pretty inconvenient. Note that if you register, and the algorithm thinks you might be a spammer and asks you for credit card data, you will not need to provide that - they have an email address for that, where one can ask for access on an individual basis....
