Because having opinions about coding fonts is Important: coding font bracket challenge at https://www.codingfont.com/

Turns out, I have opinions (some of these make me whimper), hate ligatures, and apparently the shape of "r" is more important than I would have expected for me.

It feels like the presence of ligatures in the font should not be determinant, though - because they're there doesn't mean I have to use them. Buuuuut. (It's probably the reason why JetBrains Mono, which is the font I currently use in my IDE, and which I actually don't hate, got discarded early.)

I ended on Source Code Pro. Well, first try on Cousine, but then I hate the "r"'s :P First attempt at putting it on my IDE is a movement of recoil, but it may just be a matter of "aaaah, change!". That said, I should have done the test with my usual light theme and not their default dark theme, because it changes things too.

My current font (Fira Code) went all the way to the finals, but was ultimately dethroned by Oxygen Code.
