Taking the recent publication by @EU_ENV and @EUClimateAction on the #3BillionTrees pledge https://europa.eu/!PvrVGK
as an occasion to show some nice data : 3Bio trees could amount to an increase in 0.6% in forested area. Here a nice map how the forested area changed between 1990 and 2020 (from the State of Europe's Forests 2020 report; see at https://foresteurope.org ) : in many countries it increased by less than 0.25% per year in these 30 years, but in some by up to 1%.
