Grannies Green, originally a communal drying green; there are still poles for washing lines just out of frame to the left. With Grassmarket below and the Castle above, this south facing lawn is always popular on a sunny day. #Edinburgh

Happy New Year, may you all have a prosperous and productive 2025! I've chosen another #SonyP200 photo for today. I did love this solid little silver metal brick of a camera with its slightly larger CCD sensor (for a point & shoot). Colours were about the best digital colours I've had! So far my film photos of this bend in the Grand Union Canal haven't come close.

The tower of St Stephens Theatre, #Edinburgh. Once a church, now a theatre and community space. The clock allegedly has the longest pendulum in Europe. Just about works for #FensterFreitag.
