For the first time ever, I cracked the screen on my phone.

Positive: I have AppleCare, it’ll only cost me $29 to get it replaced.

Negative: Had I not been paying for AppleCare all this time, I’d have enough cash in my pocket to buy a new phone and still make it out on top.

That is exactly my approach to my finances overall - I never, ever buy warranties or insurance policies, and on the occasions when something happens (which has been very rare), I just pay without complaint. Never had to fight to get a claim paid, but I am the least popular car buyer ever.....
