I always liked the look of etched acrylic, but I don't have a laser. So I gave the Plotter+Transparent matte Paint Method a go.

The result seems quite neat, but I think it could use one or two more coats. But I wasn't patient :P

Testing with LEDs coming soon.

@foosel It's Pretty much:

  1. Cutting a Mask out of the cheapest Foil you have with a plotter

  1. Stick the Mask on the Acrylic

  1. Spray a desired amount of coating on it

  1. Dry and Remove mask

Im pretty sure it wont work as good with LEDs as actually Laser etched Acrylic, as the "Glowing" normally is caused by the roughing of the Surface, and with the Paint the Light Probably pretty much just "Flows" by, but its what i have. I'll be posting an LED Test, but not today...
